BUKU PROCESSING ORGANIC WASTE WITH A BLACK SOLDIER FLY (HERMETIA ILLUCENS) FOR BEGINNERS

BUKU PROCESSING ORGANIC WASTE WITH A BLACK SOLDIER FLY (HERMETIA ILLUCENS) FOR BEGINNERS

RINGKASAN :

Solid waste management has become a major problem, both on a national and international scale. On a national scale, various aspects of the problems that arise include the size of waste generation, the mixing of organic and inorganic solid waste, and those classified as hazardous and toxic materials (B3), the problem of temporary handling locations (TPS) and landfills (TPA). Another problem is the objections of the people living around the TPS and TPA locations to the sanitation problems of their settlement locations.

These various problems stem from the improper initial action that meets the principles of Environmental Engineering or environmental sanitation, namely sorting solid waste at its place of origin. Sorting or segregating or segregating is a fundamental step that will affect the performance of the government or other authorities in municipal solid waste (MSW).

Why is sorting a basic step? The answer is none other than because sorting carries significant further implications for waste handling or processing steps. If solid waste is divided into two (2), then it is better if the separation is part (fraction) organic and part (fraction) inorganic. Municipal solid waste can also be divided into three (3) or four (4) parts. When divided into three parts, the groups are organic, inorganic, and B3 (hazardous and toxic materials). If the segregation is carried out into four (4) parts, then the group becomes organic (organic) waste, inorganic which can be recycled (recyclable), inorganic that cannot be recycled (nonrecyclable), and B3 (hazardous and toxic materials).
